At the age of twenty John asked his bank manager for a construction loan to start his first business. That same entrepreneurial spirit led John to found The Centre For Family Business at the University of Waterloo, one of the first in Canada and now one of the largest in North America. John brings a background as entrepreneur, and educator to bear upon a successful career coaching executives and leading organizations through transitional dynamics. In that capacity John has been speaking professionally for over twenty years.

John is skilled not only as a platform speaker, but also as an experienced facilitator of strategic planning sessions and seminars ranging from three hours to three days.
